In a high-energy, time-boxed setting, participants develop ideas in response to a problem or opportunity statement, stress-test their thinking, and present prototypes to a judging panel. A hackathon can run as a full weekend programme or a focused "hack day". We have designed and managed well over 100 hackathons with private and public sector organisations, connecting their insights, problem statements, data, and expertise with startups and communities.
Hackathons can take two forms: internal hackathons that mobilise your own staff to surface fresh ideas from within, or open community hackathons that draw on a broader ecosystem of startups, professionals, and domain experts.
